Just sharing some Petri dish art here. I entered this one into Microbiologics, Inc.’s first ever agar art contest themed “Creepy Cultures”! Alas, I didn’t win as the competition is really tough out there.
Hektoen Agar with Salmonella typhimurium (black colonies) and a bit of E. coli (orange/yellow colonies).
Here’s to a safe Halloween, and rightly so, I hope your nightmares do not include Salmonella.
